Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director - Mercy Health Anderson

Exciting opportunity to become the Residency Program Director Mercy Health Anderson's new EM residency program pending approval targeted for 2022-2023. USACS is looking for a qualified individual to help plan, build, implement and evaluate a new EM residency program at Mercy Anderson in Cincinnati, Ohio. This individual will collaborate with our Academic Affairs Chair to make this venture successful. They are expected to be an active and clinical member of the Mercy Anderson EM medical staff while this program is being developed. Previous academic experience required.

This residency program will have RURAL FOCUS with rotations at the Mount Orab facility in southeast Ohio and the Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky, southeast of Lexington.

Emergency Department
- ED Volume: 39,000
- 22% admission rate, representing 74% of total hospital admissions
- 24-hour in-house Hospitalist program that primarily admits well over 90% of the ED patients
- The newly renovated ED has 31 treatment bays
- The patient mix includes adult medical of all acuities and minor trauma at all ages
- Excellent equipment includes two ED CT scanners, PET scan, and MRI available to ED 7 days a week
- EMS coordinator assists with an active EMS program
- All radiology reads available 24 hours a day
- Wireless phone communication devices department-wide
- EPIC computerized physician order entry, patient tracking and documentation
