ODH, OU Seek Input for State Health Improvement Plan

Following the release of the State Health Assessment (SHA), the Ohio Department of Health and Ohio University seek responses to a survey to identify which emerging issues should be included in the 2025-2029 State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP).

The SHA is a comprehensive and actionable picture of health and well-being in Ohio. It was developed with OU, in partnership with the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center and the University of Toledo. 

The survey asks participants to rank and rate issues based on the overall burden on Ohioans, population-level impact, and feasibility for improvement. Topics under consideration - which were not included in the 2020-2022 SHIP - are:

Survey responses will be aggregated and reviewed by ODH staff and the SHIP Advisory Council to guide the selection of topics to be included in the 2025-2029 SHIP.  The survey will remain open through Friday, Aug.15.
