Ohio ACEP EM Assembly Postponed Due to COVID-19 Concerns

Reschedule date to be determined

After careful consideration of the growing concerns and travel restrictions related to the spread of COVID-19, the Ohio ACEP Board of Directors met this morning and has voted to postpone the March 17 Ohio ACEP EM Assembly and Annual Meeting. Our primary consideration in making this decision is to help ensure the safety and health of attendees and staff. The event will be rescheduled for later in 2020, and we will let our members know when a date has been set.

The decision to postpone was a difficult one, but as a medical society representing physicians around the state, the Board of Directors felt that it was important to follow the guidance of public health experts and government health agencies. And as an organization representing the physicians who may well find themselves on the front line of treating COVID-19 patients at facilities already operating at or near capacity, it’s important to us to do what we can to help prevent the spread of the virus among healthcare professionals.

We thank you for your understanding and urge you to keep an eye out for additional announcements, including a date for the rescheduled EM Assembly.
