Ohio ACEP Councillor Candidate

Dan C. Breece, DO, FACEP

Fleming, Ohio

Dr. Dan Breece serves as Medical Director for Emergency and Urgent Care Services at Marietta Memorial Health System, where he is also a Core Faculty Member for the Emergency Medicine Residency program. In addition, Dr. Breece serves as Medical Director for Washington County EMS and the Marietta Fire Department.

Dr. Breece previously served as Battalion Surgeon and General Medical Officer at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he was responsible for the medical care of more than 900 Marines and Sailors.

In addition to his faculty role, Dr. Breece is also a clinical instructor for the Physician Assistant Program at Marietta College. He sits on multiple committees for Marietta Memorial Health System, including the Trauma Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Graduate Medical Education Committee.

Dr. Breece is active with Ohio ACEP as a member of its Government Affairs Committee and Residents’ Assembly Planning Committee and participated in the 2014 Ohio Emergency Medicine Residents’ Assembly as faculty.

Dr. Breece’s experiences as Emergency and Urgent Care Services Medical Director at Marietta Memorial and EMS Medical Director for Washington County have strengthened Dr. Breece as a leader, and he hopes to put those leadership skills to use representing the interests of Ohio’s emergency medicine physicians on ACEP Council.
