Ohio EMA Coordinating Aid Response to Harvey

Information will be provided through EMAC

Ohio EMS Providers
:

The Ohio Emergency Management Agency is coordinating mutual aid response to the Harvey disaster. When assistance is needed Ohio EMA staff will be reaching out to match resources with need. Assistance will be provided through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC). Information on EMAC and what you can do to be prepared can be accessed at:

http://ema.ohio.gov/Plans_MutualAid.aspx

In addition, information on volunteering to assist with disaster response and recovery is available at:

http://www.iaem.com/documents/FEMA-Private-Sector-Advisory-How-to-Help-Disaster-Survivors-in-Texas-29Aug2017.pdf

Please do not self-deploy to Texas. We must help those responding to this disaster to avoid the distraction and unnecessary problems created by well-meaning volunteers. As you are aware, unexpectedly showing up to any of the communities that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey will create an additional burden to those on the scene. Wait for an official request.

Thank you.
