ABEM has been approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to participate in the 2013 Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) MOC Additional Incentive Program. Participating ABEM diplomates who receive the standard PQRS incentive are eligible to receive an additional 0.5 percent reimbursement for 2013 Medicare billings.
