Training on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is required to obtain a waiver from the DEA to prescribe buprenorphine, a medication to treat opioid use disorder. Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS) is offering free MAT training to prescribe for treatment of opioid use disorder: live, online, or a mix. Led by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, PCSS is a coalition of major healthcare organizations dedicated to confronting the opioid abuse epidemic. Through training sessions and a clinical coaching program, PCSS’s mission is assist healthcare providers increase their knowledge and skills in the prevention, identification, and treatment of opioid addiction and other substance use disorders.
